HALAH
Professional advising for the creative, careerist, and confused.
Since I was a child strangers would come up to me and strike up a conversation, telling me their fears, concerns, and life experiences. All of it unprovoked. I would respond earnestly with my feelings and thoughts, often informed by everything I'd experienced up to that moment or could imaginatively empathize, sometimes to my detriment. So, I created Go Ask Halah as a way to safely and sustainably funnel and create intentional space for these types of encounters; to share thoughts and feelings with artists, careerists, and the confused in an effort to create clarity. In Go Ask Halah, we dialogue and exchange wisdom and advice, mine now finely aged and informed by a robust life and career in compassionate instruction and advising to help add a bit more ease into our shared worlds.

I know what it's like to have access to useful advice and I've seen first-hand what it's like when one doesn't. As an academic advisor for higher education it pained me to watch my students struggle to continue to experience quality, supportive, and tailored advising after they decided to leave the institution. The parameters we set can sometimes be walls that block out those who cannot and do not want to scale rock to touch grass. Go Ask Halah is a door to a field of advising we can relax, restore, and revitalize in.
